Cybersecurity Opportunities
Kickstart your 2026 career with hands-on cybersecurity experience and real-world challenges.
Sturnella is hosting free, in-person cybersecurity study sessions in Evanston, Wyoming this spring — open to anyone in Uinta County who wants to explore the field or start building toward a credential.
What it is:
Weekly office hours designed to help participants prepare for the ISC² Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) exam. The CC is an entry-level credential with no prerequisites — one of the most accessible starting points in the profession.
Why we're doing it:
This program grew out of Sturnella's participation in JumpStart Evanston 2026. When asked what community support we would put to use, our answer was straightforward: a sponsored exam fee and a laptop to teach on. Cybersecurity isn't just a big-city corporate career. It belongs here too.
The initiative also aligns with the International Women's Day 2026 theme — Give To Gain — the idea that giving knowledge, access, and time creates opportunities that multiply across a community.
Who it's for:
Anyone 18 or older in Uinta County who is curious about cybersecurity, regardless of background or prior experience. No cost to attend.
Dates and location:
Sessions run April through June 2026. Venue and schedule to be announced — follow us on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/sturnellahq or check back here for updates.
The bigger picture:
Office hours participants who complete the CC exam and demonstrate strong engagement will be considered for Sturnella's Summer 2026 internship cohort. This is the pipeline — from community study sessions to real advisory work.
